Fishing for Content

Because apparently I am desperate to kill my free time, I'm taking requests. The first ten fannish/geek culture topics that get tossed at me here or on my blogs, I'll do a comic on. I do not vouch that I will know anything about these topics, but that's what google is for. And then you can have fun mocking me. A good time for all!

I Have Seriously Had Dreams Like This

Only when I wake up I'm not two inches wider and ten pounds heavier. Woog.

This place is carnivore heaven. Endless servings of all the standard domestic meat animals, and they don't even mention the concept of "well done" (which is good, because "well done" is a crime against every protein-bearing lifeform ever sacrificed for sustenance and pleasure. Even cows deserve better). And you are, as far as I could tell, encouraged to stay as long as you can keep stuffing food in your gaping American maw. Which for us was about three hours, but only because my dining companions were weak. Weak, I say!

Heck, it's so good I actually put some work into this comic. How often does that happen?

And if you're a vegetarian...um, it's a really good salad bar.
Because it has meats and cheeses.

But hey, marinated mushrooms and bell peppers! That's gotta count for something!

It's by Homer...?

This strip, like all these strips, Really Happened. Though with fewer pictures, and a deer head instead of a moose. Yes, a deer head. Let me emphasize again how very much a of a hick in the sticks I am. Mass attack by your home decor is the bitter ironic comeuppance of lazy picture-hanging.

Also: The Veldt! It's a short story...? It's by Bradbury...? Read a book!*

Seriously. Bradbury is great. Go find it. And then wallow in the tenuous relevance, here.

*Read a book speech paraphrased from The Tick, animated joy of the 90s. I am an *old* hick, but it was a great show. So, uh, "watch a DVD!" too, I suppose.
